Effective Date: 1 October 2026
At Paytaxs, we aim to provide clear and professional GST-related services to businesses across India. Because our services may involve consultation, document review, preparation, processing, filing assistance, and other professional work, cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on the nature and stage of the service.
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellation and refund requests are handled.
1. Cancellation Before Service Commencement
A customer may request cancellation before substantive work on the requested service has commenced.
Where no substantive work has been performed, Paytaxs may process an appropriate refund of the amount paid, subject to the nature of the service, the applicable transaction, and any amounts that have already been legitimately incurred in connection with the service.
2. Cancellation After Service Commencement
If work has already commenced, the refund, if any, will be assessed based on the work already performed and the stage of the service.
Work may include:
- Reviewing information or documents.
- Understanding the customer’s GST requirement.
- Preparing GST-related information or documents.
- Preparing returns, applications, or other agreed deliverables.
- Reconciliation or compliance-related work.
- Providing consultation or advisory support.
- Communicating with the customer regarding the service.
- Other activities included within the agreed scope of service.
Where a portion of the service has already been performed, any applicable refund may take the completed work into account.
3. Completed Services
Once an agreed service has been fully completed, the service fee will generally not be refundable solely because the customer subsequently changes their mind or no longer requires the service.
This does not limit any rights or remedies available to a customer under applicable law where a service has not been provided as agreed or where a legally recognised deficiency in service exists.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information and documents required for their service.
This may include GST registration information, invoices, transaction information, business details, previous filing information, and other records relevant to the requested service.
Where inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed information is provided by the customer, the resulting delay, additional work, correction, or inability to complete the service may affect refund eligibility.
Customers should review information and documents provided for filing or submission and promptly communicate any errors or changes.
5. Government Authorities and Third-Party Processing
Certain GST processes depend on government portals, authorities, banks, payment providers, or other third-party systems.
Paytaxs does not control the processing time, availability, technical functioning, decisions, or additional requirements imposed by such authorities or third parties.
A delay, technical issue, additional verification request, rejection, or other decision by a government authority or third party does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund where Paytaxs has performed the agreed service.
Where appropriate and within the agreed scope, Paytaxs may assist the customer in responding to or addressing such issues.
6. Government Fees and Other Statutory Payments
Government fees, statutory payments, late fees, interest, penalties, and other amounts payable to government authorities are separate from Paytaxs’ service charges unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where such amounts have been paid to a government authority or another third party, their refundability will be determined by the applicable authority or third party.
Paytaxs will not represent that a government fee, statutory payment, interest amount, late fee, or penalty is refundable where the applicable authority does not permit such refund.
7. When a Refund May Be Considered
Subject to the circumstances of the individual case and applicable law, a refund may be considered where:
- A payment was received more than once for the same service.
- Paytaxs received payment but was unable to commence the agreed service due to an issue attributable to Paytaxs.
- Paytaxs is unable to provide the agreed service and no reasonable alternative arrangement is accepted by the customer.
- A service was materially not provided in accordance with the agreed scope.
- A refund is otherwise required under applicable law.
8. Service Not Provided as Agreed
If you believe that a service has not been provided in accordance with the agreed scope, please contact Paytaxs promptly.
Depending on the circumstances, Paytaxs may seek to:
- Correct the relevant issue.
- Complete any remaining agreed work.
- Provide an appropriate alternative resolution.
- Provide an appropriate full or partial refund where justified.
The resolution will depend on the nature of the service, the work already completed, the circumstances of the case, and applicable law.
9. Situations Where a Refund May Not Be Available
Subject to applicable law, a refund may generally not be available where:
- The agreed service has already been fully completed.
- Substantial work has already been performed.
- A consultation or advisory service has already been provided.
- GST-related documents, applications, or returns have already been prepared.
- A filing or application has already been initiated.
- Government or third-party charges have already been paid and are not refundable by the relevant authority or provider.
- The customer requests cancellation after substantial work has been completed.
- The service could not be completed because required information, documents, approvals, or responses were not provided by the customer.
Nothing in this section is intended to exclude or restrict any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

- Approval of a GST registration.
- Acceptance of a GST return.
- Approval of a GST refund.
- Acceptance of an input tax credit.
- Waiver of interest, late fees, or penalties.
- A particular decision by a government authority.
- Processing within a particular period where the timeline depends on a government authority or third-party system.
Government authorities may independently review, process, approve, reject, modify, or request additional information regarding a GST application, return, refund, or other compliance matter.
